Count Down to Stitches West, cont'd

The Stitches West Market opens its doors in seven days, 22 hours and 42 minutes.

Not that I'm counting.

It opens for set up in six days, 10 hours and 42 minutes.

Not that I'm counting.

Oh, I'm SO not ready.

Today, I cranked out two batches of buttons, but a batch being a cookie sheet full (yeah, we're pretty high tech at Chez Phydeaux), and six to eight large buttons/color, we're not talking quite 50 buttons today.  That said, I don't have workspace for larger batches than that - I have this batch coated in white acrylic paint and drying overnight, then a light sanding tomorrow morning, then curing again in the oven, crank out the next two batches, while sanding/buffing today's batches.

I'm not actually complaining - I had a ball today!  I'm set up in my kitchen "nook" corner, that has windows on both walls.  I had one window open as wide as possible, so the kitties took turns on bird patrol from the window sill.  While a gentle breeze kept me near euphoric with the smell of Spring.  Sigh.

I was so in the zone that I forgot to eat all day ... and a salad wasn't going to cut it for dinner, so I had a big bowl of whole wheat pasta with artichoke/marinara sauce (yummmm).

The kitties had a ball, too, switching from front window to the sliding glass door that opens on to the back yard and back again.  This was their first full day of going from window to window.  :)  They are now wiped out!

As am I, but I have a pattern to finish writing tonight ... do or die.

No pictures today - sorry!  Pictures tomorrow, I promise!

It's wonderful to get in that creative zone where you forget to eat, sort of forget time...I can't wait to see all of those beautiful buttons!

The weather has truly been glorious these last few days. Stunningly glorious.

I have fingers and toes crossed that you'll be ready to roll by the Stitches West deadline, sweetie!

Thank you, thank you! All I want right now is a decadent day of donig nothing but eating bon bons and watching old movies. Le sigh. :D
