Aint she a dandy!? I saw my first blossom today. It's been so cold and wet here, that we'll be lucky if we get tomatoes and melons before frost.

I hear you, Heather! This has been a weird weather year ... I was going to start all sorts of plants as seedlings, but it was just too cold. So I cheated and got myself some big tomato plants, as well as a few baby tomato plants. :D

(yum, melons!)

Thanks, Mad! I almost feel like it would be a shame to eat this baby. (Almost.)

Jealous!!!!!!!!

My babies are only a foot tall. :^(

So, what's your preferred eating method? :^)

My little tomatoes aren't quite a foot tall yet, Lynn - I just lucked out that I didn't kill my two big tomatoes yet! :D

I love love love anything fresh tomato. I'll have a recipe on the living senses blog on Monday that is perfect! I eat a lot of tabbouleh (SO good). LOVE BLT's with soy bacon (morningstar farm - yum!). Just fresh slices, still warm from the sun/vine. Salad (I eat a LOT of salad).

If I luck out and get a huge bumper crop, I'll probably make/can tomato sauce for Fall/Winter, but I'm not counting on having that many!

What about you?

OH, and I'm planning to keep the seeds for my two heirlooms and trying again next year. :)

I have a lot of green marbles, Cat! I just checked my red baby though ... not ready yet! I'm getting very nervous - I'll be VERY upset if the critters beat me to my first tomato!!!
