When life hands you lemons ...

You deal with it.

First day back at work. Working at home this morning, catching up on more than a week of email. Bash and smash a toe running around and think, at the time, oh boy, hope that's not broken.

You can already see where this is going.

YEP, broken toe #2. At least it's a different toe, on the other foot. Argh! It's so painful and pure black right now (I thought it was necrotic when I first looked at it today, forgetting about above toe bashing).

Sigh.

And why was I running around at home, you may be asking? Well, my week away was incredibly eventful (I thought it was a pretty safe week to take off), and as such, I was running around madly getting ready to go in to the office to meet up on it.

I'm not one to completely freak out - I try to deal with things. I had taken a number of items in my shop out of the lineup this weekend, in preparation for budget season (the more complex/lengthier knit on order scarves). I had put up an announcement about budget season and delays in shipping. So I was already headed in the right direction.

I'm deciding right now about whether to just put the shop in vacation mode (in essence, closing shop). I hate to do that, but let's be real. I think I already know my answer, but want to sleep on it.

So when life hands you lemons, you deal. And maybe have a refreshing chilled lemonade at the same time. :)

Oh, ow ouch! Arggggh! I feel your frustration! Sometimes events conspire to lead us to where we need to be. I hope you take a tall drink of the lemonade and enjoy it a little...:^) Hard lemonade is good too.;^)

oh, your poor toe! i'm sorry things are so hectic. i know exactly how you feel about vacation mode - it's both a dreaded necessity and a secret lifesaver to me. and if you find you really do need to do it, it will work out fine; we won't forget you! :)
