Craft Venture: communication!

This week's post is up, all about effective communication. Communication in business management is a topic that is near and dear to my heart - something that is so often overlooked, while so essential!

I'd love to hear what you all think and what your experiences and best practices are!

very true brenda! i do my best but i'm sure that things could be clarified or improved in some way. i always send an email confirming the sale, thanking my customers and letting them know when the item will ship!

Everyone seems to like different levels of communication, but I go with the idea that my customers like to be informed - just like me! I, too, send a confirmation email and a sentence or two thank you in the package. If I have a delay on a custom order or shipping, my customers have always appreciated knowing. Of course, if I emailed an update every day for 2 weeks, I would expect anyone to get annoyed!
I really appreciate shop policies and try to have bare minimum info. And I hate being surprised by extra charges, so in every listing I let my TX customers know that sales tax will be applied.
