Modern Mouse Meet Up

Last week, I ventured up the East Bay to Alameda to meet several  Etsy team mates at Modern Mouse, a wonderful shop filled with beautiful handmade wares!  Eleen (front row, right) is the owner and proprietress of Modern Mouse - she's done a fabulous job with her shop and she is as sweet as pie.

back row:  Allison, Brenda
photographer:  Tod (Allison's husband)

Alameda is a super cool spot!  Allison, Tod and I had a fantastic lunch at Burma Superstar.  And then proceeded to window shop.  Well, not so much window shop as to try to spend a bit of money in the shops we visited (we succeeded!).  I found a new fragrance that I had to go back for:  Dead Sexy from Tokyo Milk.  Don't you just love it when you find a unique fragrance that is seemingly made just for you?

True to form, I become hopelessly lost trying to get out of Alameda (which is an island, not even that large, so you might think it would be easy to find one's way out).  I am seriously jinxed when it comes to driving in the East Bay.  I can find my way just about anywhere without iphone, maps, gps, etc. Put me in Oakland, Berkeley, Concord,  Walnut Creek ... I'm doomed to hours on the freeway, heading in every direction but the right one.  (And thank the good Lord for my iphone, which finally got me out!)

If you live in the Bay Area, check out Modern Mouse!

Aww, thanks so much for the write-up Brenda! And especially for coming by the store. It was lovely to meet/see you, Allison and Marianne live and in the flesh!

Next time you get lost in the East Bay, head on over to Modern Mouse and I'll steer you back in the right direction...or just keep you here! MWAH HA HA HA HAAAA... ;]

Glad to hear you found your way back! Eleen really has done such a fabulous job with the store and I agree, she's just about the sweetest thing ever!
